Representative Campbell strongly believes in the necessity and imperative for each child in our Commonwealth and Nation to have the best education possible. As a parent of two children she understands the importance of providing every child the resources they need in order to reach academic success.
See below for education legislation Representative Campbell has supported in previous Legislative Sessions:
H541 – An Act relative to improving quality in early education and care by family child care providers
This bill allows the 4300 family child care providers who receive state subsidy to organize and bargain, much like what was done for the Personal Care Attendants.
H2713 – An Act establishing a middle-skills council and the creation of regional skills academies in the Commonwealth
The bill establishes a middle-skills council and the creation of regional skills academies in the Commonwealth. The Act’s three main sections build upon existing resources to develop a more robust system to prepare adult, non-traditional students for employment in economic sectors targeted by the Commonwealth for increased growth and investment.
S183 – An Act to design, pilot, and implement civics as a high school graduation requirement
This bill instructs the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Executive Office of Education, in collaboration with a youth advisory committee, to develop a new curriculum for a High School Civics course.
